A New Kind Of Mineral Makeup, or Is It?

I love trying a new beauty product just like we all do. There isn’t anything I won’t try and God knows I have tried a lot, but foundations are sometimes a little tricky, and the one thing that most women are extremely picky about. Everyone wants flawless skin, and when a cosmetic company promises you can have it by using their product, you really want to believe.

Unfortunately for this particular product that has not been the case based on my own experience, and other bloggers who have tried it as well. Mineral Sheers Liquid Makeup from Neutrogena wants to give you that glow but the problem starts with the brush, which is the wrong kind of brush for applying foundation, and the color is not sheer enough. Actually the best thing about it is the SPF of 20, at least it’s protecting your skin, but flawless coverage…definitely not.
If you really do prefer a sheer application, then applying with a brush is the way to go, and one that isn’t part of the actual makeup component. It will give you the finish you desire, and let your own skin come through without feeling heavy.
With that being said if you have purchased this newest foundation from Neutrogena and are about to toss it, before you do, get yourself a foundation brush. Sonia Kashuk has an amazing one at Target and it is very cheap. Take the foundation and mix either equal parts or less of the foundation and more of your favorite face cream together and then apply to your face with your new brush.
If you need more coverage add a little more. Simple to do and you won’t feel like you threw your money away on another beauty product that didn’t live up to your expectations. Trust me, I have two bags filled with products that will eventually end up in the mix. Hidden of course from my boyfriend until they do:-)
