Aging Fabulous

Age 60 is the New 40 for the Baby Boomers

“The leading edge of the Baby Boom is turning 60 this year and the rest of us boomers are right on their tails.

Of course, ask a baby boomer like me about age and we will laugh about growing older. But while we joke about it, and maybe feel it in our bones most mornings, we really don’t believe we are aging.

After all, 60 is the new 40, or 30 if you really feel young.”

While feeling young is what we all strive for, we really have to think about what we are going to live on when we retire. My husband tends to remind me of that fact every time I want to spend money. Guess he has a point. If we do everything in our power to stay healthy, we need to think about how we are going to pay for those extra years.

Have you given it any thought?

Oh baloney. It’s more like 70 or 80. You see, the way it works is that the older you get, the older “old” is. LOL So therefore if you think it must be 60, for me it is 70. You see, silver hair shows value – silver is going up on the market isn’t it?

Adelle, I like the way you think. I’m pushing it up to 70 as well. More value for the money :)
