I could not, at any age, be content to take my place in a corner by the fireside and simply look on.

I’m all for contentment. Actually, I want it now, but I can’t see that it would take the form of sitting in a rocking chair by the side of the fireplace. There’s just too much going on to let that happen! But feel free to ask me again in January! I might have changed my mind.
So, we can all use some new ways to relax. What is your favorite. Mine.. bubble baths.

A cup of tea, stretched out on my nice red sofa, with my laptop. I catch up on the blogs, read up on whatever is of interest to me at the moment, and do WAY too much shopping.
OOh, I kind of like that idea. The cup of tea doesn’t sound half bad either. It’s a miserable day here! Come to think about it, the fireplace is starting to grow on me too!
My favorite time of year is late autumn, early winter. It’s cold enough for fires and tea, but hasn’t reached that barren Enough Already phase of February.
