Aging Your Eyes
That is the last thing you want to do but unfortunately some of your old habits can do just that. As I have gotten a wee bit older, I have noticed that the makeup I used just ten years ago just doesn’t seem to work. It now seems too heavy. Now I’m finding that less is definitely more. For example, black liner for daytime makeup has been replaced with a softer color or even a line of shadow drawn across the lash line. It’s all about softness. My shadow application has
become softer as well. I don’t want the first thing people notice is the amount of shadow I’m wearing. Surprisingly enough, I find that a soft shade of apricot looks perfectly natural on my lids. I tried it on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at how it complimented my brown eyes. Mascara is still a must, but I apply it in even coats so that too looks perfectly normal!
Regardless of your present age, get into the habit of doing all you can to slow down the aging of your eyes. I have also learned to use an eye cream every night. I’ve been lucky so far, but you never know what tiny line will suddenly become deeper.
