Dr. Nina Naidu, a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in New York City, called upon thousands of years of modern science and South Asian wisdom in order to create this effective and luxurious skin care line called Anokha Skin Care. In 2006, Dr. Nina Naidu formulated several products based on active ingredients drawn from her South Asian heritage.

I have been using AMLA Skin Brightening Lotion, which is quite unique due to the fact that it contains the alma fruit. A small sour fruit native to South Asia, alma fruit, also known as Emblica or Indian Gooseberry contains the highest natural concentration of vitamin C. The lotion also combines vitamin B5 and E, sandalwood, saffron, licorice, fig, willow bark and mulberry, all of which gently and gradually work to brighten the skin and reduce uneven tones. It has mango in it as well, which moisturizes the skin, leaving it feeling soft and light while it radiates with clarity and health.
Anokha Skin Care AMLA Skin Brightening Lotion contains no sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial fragrances or colors. As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Naidu has received samples from many skin care companies throughout the years and has tried everything. Her goal has been to create natural-based products while using scents and textures that are very light and mild.
Apply a small amount of Anokha Skin Care AMLA Skin Brightening Lotion to damp, clean skin twice a day. Best results will be seen in 4-6 weeks.
Anokha Skin Care AMLA Skin Brightening Lotion is available at www.anokhaskincare.com and at Dr. Naidu’s New York City medical practice, 160 East 72nd Street, 212-452-1230.

Anokha means ’unique’ in Urdu and this is truly one very ‘unique’, reasonably priced line that I am growing to love!
