“That morning cup of coffee may help ease post-exercise muscle soreness, if preliminary research is correct. In a small study of female college students, researchers found that a caffeine supplement seemed to lessen the muscle pain that crops up a day after a challenging workout. Known as delayed-onset muscle soreness, the pain is common a day or two after a workout that was more intense than normal. Exercise that involves eccentric contraction of the muscles is particularly likely to cause delayed muscle pain.” Well, it certainly didn’t help me this morning. My back is still killing me… from shoveling snow I would imagine and this morning’s cup of coffee certainly didn’t help. But I did try Activ On and... [Read more]

“Packed with more vitamin C than an equivalent amount of orange, the bright green flesh of the kiwifruit speckled with tiny black seeds adds a dramatic tropical flair to any fruit salad. California kiwifruit is available November through May, while the New Zealand crop hits the market June through October making fresh kiwis available year round. I’m constantly complaining to my husband that he never listens to me, but I have a feeling that I’m just as guilty. My mind is on about a million things a day, as I’m sure his is, so it makes sense that neither of us really hear what the other is saying… or is he just tuning me out lol… On the other hand, no one ever taught us how to listen effectively, so I thought that today, that would be the topic I would address. “The ability to listen and understand is one of the most important attributes you can have. In many ways listening is the most crucial of all the communication skills, yet it is probably the most neglected. Listening should not be confused with hearing. Hearing is merely a physical experience,... [Read more]
Any Belly Dancers Out There??
I’ve been looking for something like this and the prices are outrageous… but not this one isn’t half bad. It’s about 1/4 the price of what I have been seeing lately and you have to admit that this is a whole lot better than practicing in sweats. Even while practicing, you have to look the part… just in case someone walks in on you while you are in the middle of your undulations! Single-Row Coin Scarf [Read more]
