Aging Fabulous

Chill + Relax = Chillax.

That is what my daughter told me this morning. I look astounded a second, then she said I was to relax and chill, meaning I should Chillax!

She went on to tell me even more words of wisdom…

…that if the pillows were not perfect on the couches and chairs and beds (I’m a pillow freak!)

…that if the clothes were not immediately taken out of the dryer when the bells rings

…that if the reports are not done on time

…that if breakfast or dinner is not on the table at set times

…that if the the kids are late for something

the world will not come to an end.

You know what, she is right!

So I did like the lady above did, I got out of the house, jumped in the pool, and floated on a raft most of the day. I even sent my daughter into the house a few times to get me an iced tea.

And we are all still here.

Note to self: Chillax at least a few hours a week. Thank daughter for the great advice!!!

  1. Wise words. It is so difficult to just stop and relax when, with every task, you are focused on the next one. But it is worth it to stop every so often and just breathe.

    Cheers!

Yes – If we just weren’t so focused on being “perfect”, relaxing would come quite easy!
