Aging Fabulous

Fashion for the 40ish Woman

closetI still remember this decade well. It was a time when I actually began to change how I think about fashion. Pretty much everything was a go… except I found myself looking for something different. I wasn’t happy to simply copy everything I saw on TV or in a magazine. I wanted to put my own stamp on how I looked. I wanted that wow factor and that meant that I couldn’t look like everyone else.

I remember one particular season. Every designer thought that pink was the color that everyone should be wearing. Okay, I liked pink, but there was no way that I was going to look like everyone else at work. So, I looked for a raspberry shade. Raspberry had always worked for me… and I certainly was noticed! That’s what this decade is all about. Making your mark in the fashion world.
