*Go For a Walk on the Beach
At this time of the year, Lake Ontario certainly isn’t warm by any stretch of the imagination , but a beach is still an interesting place to visit. There is just something awfully soothing about waves crashing a few feet away. So, if you have to, pull on a coat and spend a little time taking in the view. Who knows, but this might be the only time of year when you won’t have to share the beach with 50,000 people.
So what are the benefits of facing the elements at this time of year? I can think of several, but here are my favorites.
-It’s hard to walk in sand, so you burn lots of calories.
-The fresh air is good for you… at least that’s what my mom used to tell me when she sent me outside to play.
-You can let go of all of your stress. I don’t know why it works, but all is well with the world when you are walking along a beach.
