Aging Fabulous

Gray Is Going to Happen

It’s quite normal to start noticing gray stands during your 30s and obviously the darker you are, the more noticeable it will be. A lot of factors seem to come into play. Some I was aware of, some I wasn’t. If your parents went gray early, chances are you will too. And here is one that I didn’t know. It is thought that smoking can also cause you to gray prematurely. Haven’t a clue if this is true or not… Happened across this piece of information quite by accident.

But gray hair in my opinion is all a state of mind. You have the old… “The old gray mare, she ain’t what she used to be.” Traditional American folk song
or…
I’ll be gray by the time I’m 30, but I like my hair. It looks shiny. I like the way it looks when those highlights are picked up on camera.

  1. Uh oh…smoking, premature gray. That was me. Guess it is too late now, so thats why I blog about hair color. :)

Now if they would only come up with a shampoo that would color your hair as it lathered! There has to be a quick and easy way to get the job done!

I’m one of those crazies who doesn’t color her greys. I’ve had them since about 25 or so… no I have never smoked or even lived with anyone who smoked.

I will admit that if there were a shampoo to handle coloring my hair, I’d be more tempted, but for now I try to handle my greys gracefully.
