Great Idea – Burn Your Scale!

I do not keep a scale in my house. My parents have one of those scales like they use at the doctors office, and it is very accurate.
I use their scale on occasion, usually once a week if I am there – but other than that, I just can’t obsess about the up’s and down’s of my weight each and every day. I would go crazy. I do like to stay on track (as I am trying to lose a few lbs), so once a week is enough for me.
Well, Claire, one of our newest b5 bloggers is Burning the Scale. Join her as she discusses diets, fitness, nutrition, and weight loss in general. I can’t wait to learn some new secrets and tips.

Hi Teri, You’ve been tagged! Check my blog for details.
I don’t keep a scale in the house either. There’s one at our gym, one at my doctor’s office, and one at our grocery store, so I have no problems weighing myself once a week. I used to panic over a few pounds of water weight when I had a scale. The only time I really missed it was when I was trying to figure out if my suitcase was over the flight weight limit. Maybe one day I will get one of the scales that has extra features like calculating body fat. In the meantime, though, I’d rather save my money.
Teri – I tagged you too! Yikes! Hope you don’t mind!

Karen and Char – Thanks!
I stopped keeping a scale about 20 years ago. I just watch how my clothing feels on the old bod and if I feel like I need a little shape I buy wonderful corsets and other foundation type undergarments and tell myself that at 51, I should be able to enjoy my weight and shape. People who feel differently are welcomed to stay away from me.
Good thinking, Meg.
Sage Rave – I love your attitude!
