Happy Father’s Day!

I hope all the Dad’s in the world had a great day.
As a friend of mine was on her way to the cemetery to visit her Father, it really hit home with me how lucky I am to be able to spend the day with my Father. Especially this year.
My Dad has kidney cancer, which there is no direct treatment for. He did have his kidney removed three years ago, but the cancer came back earlier this year. He has undergone many tests and procedures and actually had the tumor and surrounding tissue frozen last week. We sure hope this did the trick once and for all and that his MRI tomorrow will show that it is gone – and for longer than three years this time.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad. It is bittersweet to look at all you have been through in the past few months to be the healthy man you are today. It wa a joy to spend it with you today.
I love you! Here is to many more Fathers Days together.
