Aging Fabulous

Help – I am Looking for a New Foundation!

It is finally feeling a bit like Fall here in the northeast United States. With Fall comes changes to makeup routines, and I am not just talking color.

foundation In the Summer and warmer months, I rarely wear foundation. If I am going out, it is tinted moisturizer. With my (fake) tan fading and freckles, redness, and uneven skin tone rearing it’s ugly face, I am on the hunt for a new foundation.

I am looking for a moisturizing foundation, probably one with anti-oxidants and/or anti-aging properties. I am not too particular about the type, though I tend to stay away from a pure liquid foundation. If they are more of a creamy texture, than I might give it a try.

Honestly, can you believe that a beauty blogger is at a loss as what new foundation to try?

I am looking for suggestions, my dear readers! I want to hear from you with the name(s) of your favorite foundations.

Here are a few foundations that I am looking at:

  • Smashbox ‘High Definition’ Healthy FX Foundation
  • La Prairie Cellular Treatment Foundation Cream Finish
  • Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation
  • Lancôme ‘Color Ideal’ Precise Match Skin Perfecting Makeup
  • Clinique Repairwear Anti-Aging Makeup
  • Prescriptives ‘Flawless Skin’ Total Protection Makeup
  • Yves Saint Laurent Line Smoothing Foundation

I would definitely try the YSL foundation, they make
the best powders. I use alot of YSL cosmetics and love them. They have the absolute best mascara and I have probably tried every one out there!

I love Jane Iredale pressed and loose powder. With a good moisturizer/sunscreen, then the JI powder, I get great coverage and my skin has never looked better!

You should try Brenda Christian Color Remedies Color Adjusting Foundation. It’s great for dry skin and the colors are great. I use Porcelain since I’m pretty fair. It’s pricey, but one bottle lasts a really long time. Worth every penny.

    Great suggestions, ladies!

I plan to do a bunch of features with my trials and tribulations on trying to find the new perfect foundation!

I really love Chantecaille skincare line and so far and I mean after searching for years I use the Future Skin Oil Free Gel Foundation. I have combination skin and this foundation is finally the best I’ve tried, it’s not cheap but it’s well worth it!
