How To Wear A Neon Pink Blush

I love the idea of a beautiful baby pink blush but most of my clients usually put up their hands before I begin to apply and I have to promise them they won’t look like something out of a circus show. The good news is when used correctly, the result can be quite beautiful, and very natural looking.
The key is to pick a shade and formula that are right for your complexion. While medium and darker skin tones can handle a pigment packed cream or powder blush, someone with a lighter complexion should choose a shade that goes on sheer with buildable color that is easy to blend.
Sonia Kashuk has a great line of beauty products sold exclusively at Target and her cream blush in Beach Bum is perfect for medium to darker skin tones. To apply, focus the color on the apple of cheeks and swipe upward. Try to keep the rest of your face neutral to avoid looking too made-up.
For Lighter skin, Rock & Republic has an incredible blush called Kinky. To look at it, you might think is a little too much, but it actually goes on sheer and looks really great. The color seen here in not Kinky but the packaging is just so outstanding I felt compelled to show you. The color of Kinky is very similar to Bobbi Brown’s Pale Pink Blush also neon in color but not when applied. The color is sheer and beautiful on.
When choosing either a cream or powder blush let your skin type help you to decide as well. If you tend be a little shinier, then a powder blush is probably best, but if you have skin that feels dry especially during the cooler months, then a cream blush is perfect. If you have combination skin and love the look of a cream instead of a powder, you can set color and remove shine by using a translucent powder and lightly applying over the color.
