Aging Fabulous

Little Winter Luxuries

popcornA lot of people know that I don’t like winter all that much… just not wired that way apparently. So, that makes it even more important to include some little luxuries this month. Feel free to borrow mine, but if you have some other preferences, go for it. Oh yes, feel free to add your to the comment area. We can never have enough little luxuries during the winter months!

1. My husband travels a lot, so it’s the perfect time to claim the tv and put on a good chick flick. Okay, most of the time I watch it alone, but every once in a while my daughter will come down to join me. Not that she would ever admit it!

2. Have a date night at least once a month. You deserve it.

3. Have a day out at the mall. My daughter and I do this once a week and thoroughly enjoy it!

4. Bundle up and go for a walk under the stars. A winter sky at night is just amazing! And then put onthe kettle and make some cocoa. You have started my Hot Chocolate Meditation… right??

5. I know that it’s not good for your skin, but I like my daily baths complete with a novel. I am very careful not to have the water too hot and then slather on lots of body lotion when I get out. So I look at this as just a little more pampering!!

Hi, found you via Michele’s today :)

Now that hot chocolate meditation I could go for! You have some really great tips here. I will return :)

Wonderful tips. I haven’t had a bath in years… sounds like a great idea.

  4. Excellent ideas and I too, love to read in the tub. (All my books are a little water-logged.) Came by way of Michele.

I read everything from novels, to technical manuals, yoga journals, to all of my horsetraining books in the tub, and I like the water so hot I can hardly stand it, although I know that’s not good for my skin. (I use a lot of moisturizer.) My books are probably just as waterlogged as Maria’s. The only books I don’t read in the tub are the ones friends have loaned to me. They wouldn’t be very pleased with the condition of their books after it took me several baths to finish a good read!
