Meet My Pufferbugs.

Pufferbugs = puffy under eye area of mine.
Actually, more of an upper cheek area, my puffiness is usually talked about as my Pufferbugs. The term actually came form me complaining about my puffy eyes and/or the bags under my eyes. Well, my daughter was very young, and she must have heard part of the conversation and didn’t quite understand what I was talking about. All I remember is her asking me where my pufferbugs were, and the term has stuck. She is the one who points them out to me on occasion, and when the kids see me with a mask on, or applying an eye treatment, they ask if my pufferbugs have come out. Unfortunately, the pufferbugs have been rearing their ugly face more often than not lately.
I think I am pretty much exhausted and have not been taking care of myself – I will definitely admit it. With four kids home from school for the summer taking a new job position that is keeping me quite busy on the computer, and a husband who was in the hospital most of last week with a nasty staph infection – pufferbugs are what I get.
I honestly have never used specific puffiness reducing products, as a quick mask, deep moisturization, a little hydration and rest usually takes care of them. But I am on the lookout for a product to fit into my daily routine that will hopefully cut down on the pufferbugs rearing their ugly bags everyday.
I am looking for tried and true eye products that have worked for you that have battled under-eye puffiness yourself, so please let me know in the comments so I can give some a try.

Since I was a toddler I’ve had bad under eye puffiness. The kicker came, though, when I started noticing the small under eye lines turning into deeper and longer wrinkles this year (I’m only 24 and a non-smoker – where did I go wrong!!!). Fortunately, I now know that there are products to help.
I was using Neutrogena’s Radiance Boost Eye Cream. It worked well for the price. Now I use Prescriptives Vibrant-C Skin Brightening Eye Cream. It’s more expensive, but works better and might actually last a longer for me because I use less. At night I use their eye moisturizing cream.
I have the same problem – undereye puffy bags:( Mine are from allergies, or heredity, since they are always there, no matter what! They get worse in humid climates. I also haven’t really found anything that works to get rid of them, but I haven’t really tried that many things yet. That’s the next thing on my list – figuring out how to get rid of them!
Since entering college I have been using Erno Laszlo’s pHelitone Eye Treatment and love it. My eyes can get really dry on top of being puffy and having dark circles. I just put this on every morning around my eyes and magically my eyes are less puffy and my dark circles are soo much better!
Your diet will make a big difference in puffy eyes. Try to cut out white pasta use whole wheat instead and don’t eat white bread or rice. Stick to lots of fruit and vegetables and chicken or fish it will cut down on inflammation in the body you will see a difference immediately!
If I could do that, I would be 20lbs lighter, too! lol
I never thought that food would affect under eye puffiness, though. Thanks for the tip!
If you have bags under your eyes and wrinkles, the best thing to do is to try
the anti-aging line from clinique for the eyes. It truly lifts your eyes, diminishes wrinkles and moisturizes your eye the whole day. It is fragarance free and does not irritate your eyes (I wear contact lenses) Good Luck
