Mother’s Day doesn’t always mean chocolates and flowers, instead why not do something a little different and custom blend a fragrance just for mom. Denise is amazing, and has been blending fragrances for over 20 years.  She started out as an esthetician where she would blend botanicals & active ingredients into her skincare products, the rest my friends is fragrance history.  The Melange experience is one you won’t forget, and each time you wear your fragrance it will be hard not to smile from ear to ear.

To figure out what she would use to make my scent I had to smell each one and then put the ones I liked in the center of the table. Once I was done smelling them, Denise put various blends of what I had chosen onto little paper strips to smell.  From 20 scents I narrowed it down to a handful, and the ones I loved were then put into a roller perfume, and body wash which smell devine!

Denise was so sweet, and I felt as if I was hanging with an old friend. She knows so much about scents and her shop has such a great vibe. If you live in the Los Angeles area you really should think about stopping in and checking out Melange Apothecary. Yes, chocolates are delicious, but a custom blended fragrance is calorie free and will leave your mom feeling fabulous all day long.
