Orange Juice and Kidney Stones
I’ve been down that road and I don’t want to go that route again. But, I guess it could have been worse. I had what was known as silent kidney stones and no one had a clue that I had a 9 mm stone until it showed up on an cat scan. So, while I had absolutely no pain, I did have to go through numerous tests just to be sure that’s what it was and then surgery to remove it. Certainly not fun.
But I just finish reading over at Eating Fabulous that studies are showing that a glass of orange juice in the morning can help to prevent them from occurring! If that’s all it takes, I’m definitely going to add oranges to my diet or make my own juice. (Don’t like the pulp) If you want to know more about the study, be sure to head over to see what Ruth has dug up!
And here is a recipe that you might like… Tropical Smoothie
Tropical Smoothie
1 banana frozen
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1 nectarine, pitted and sliced
Toss everything into a blender and blend away. Nothing quite like it on a hot day! Almost as good as a milkshake!

I agree, if that’s all it takes I’m shopping for juicers.
Have you every heard of XanGo Juice?
Made from the mangosteen fruit from South east asia.
Has many great health benefits and tastes wicked too.
I’ve never heard of this juice, but you definitely have me curious.
Check out the web site for more info. There is a video that shows the history of the fruit and tons of info on the science of it.
