After I finished writing the post below about Peri-Menopause Symptoms, I decided to click on over to amazon.com to see what books they had on the subject. I ordered three of them:

The Pause: Positive Approaches to Premenopause and Menopause by Lonnie Barbach
Medical Management of Menopause and Premenopause by Winifred Berg Cutler and C.R. Garcia.
I will report back my thoughts and/or findings on the books as soon as I finish them. If you have …read more

I have been reading some terrible stories about MediSpa’s (read Medical Spa’s)and the disasters that some are dealing with after visiting one of these treatment centers or clinics. You see, MediSpa’s are spa like clinics where medical treatments, such as laser treatments, botox, and more, are performed. Often by untrained professionals.

One way to know if a MediSpa is probably a safe place in which to have a procedure performed …read more

The American Cancer Society is the official host of this annual event, and they are a great resource for educating yourself in how to stop smoking. Your doctor is a great resource too. I urge you to make an …read more

Newspaper columnist Cathy Hamilton was chronicling a personal account of the adventures and misadventures of being a woman over 50 in a weekly column called Boomer Girl Diary for a local newspaper when she began searching online for a community of baby boomer women. What she found was there was not much to be found. And so, Boomergirl was born.
Boomergirl, created for boomer women, born 1946 to 1964, is a community-based website offering beauty, fashion, family, finances, fitness and health advice; information of all sort and the latest news; blogs written by Boomergirl staff and members; clubs to join; …read more
