So if you want to sneak in a few “ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRs” it’s perfectly okay.
Actually my husband has been doing it all morning long. And I’m sure that he will carry on the minute he walks into the office.

We first came upon the holiday when we were vacationing in Cornwall, England and heard the djs talking about it on the radio. We thought it was a British thing. Obviously not!!
Any pirates out there?

Do you remember them?? I vaguely recognize the photo, but I’m pretty sure that I have never used them. According to Beanie over at Advantage Style, “These Hair Spools Are Pinless and Pliable.
Unlike conventional hair rollers, which are hard and unforgiving, these tried-and-true hair spools are made of soft, pliable plastic so you can leave them in overnight and still get a good night’s sleep.”
The most “ouchless” rollers I remember were pink foam with plastic snaps that “snapped into place to keep the roller in place. I’ve been down that road and I don’t want to go that route again. But, I guess it could have been worse. I had what was known as silent kidney stones and no one had a clue that I had a 9 mm stone until it showed up on an cat scan. So, while I had absolutely no pain, I did have to go through numerous tests just to be sure that’s what it was and then surgery to remove it. Certainly not fun.

But I just finish reading over at Eating Fabulous that studies are showing that a glass of orange juice in the morning can help to prevent them from occurring! If that’s all it takes, I’m definitely going to add oranges to my diet or make my own juice. (Don’t like the pulp) If you want to know more about the study, be sure to head over to see what Ruth has dug up!

And here is a recipe that you might like… Tropical Smoothie

Tropical Smoothie
1 banana frozen
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1 nectarine, pitted and sliced

Toss everything into a blender and blend away. Nothing quite like it on a hot day! Almost as good as a milkshake!
