RejuvaWand – Week One.

RejuvaWand – Week One.

So, I started using the RejuvaWand about a week ago, and as I promised I would update you on my progress. Here are some of my initial thoughts.
First thing is first. If you keep this out on your kitchen counter or in your office, you will get a lot of questions. It does look like possibly a vibrator or fancy toothbrush. Needless to say, my RejuvaWand is now charging in my bathroom.
I was confused by the charger at first. There are not outer contacts on the wand or in the base charger either. I didn’t quite know how it …read more

The Hair Color Mix Book.

I received one of the best how-to books ever last week. It left me wondering, where it was a month ago when I was dealing with my own hair coloring disasters. As the book is just officially released today, I realize it was no where to be found, but I am happy to have it in my library now.
The book is titled The Hair Color Mix Book, and it is written by Lorri Goddard-Clark. Lorri is one of the most in-demand hair colorists in the world. Not only does she work at the Neil George Salon in Los Angeles, …read more

The WCRF Tweezers from Anastasia Beverly Hills.

The WCRF Tweezers from Anastasia Beverly Hills.

I use these every day, well almost everyday as I clean up my eyebrows.

As Anastasia is the queen of eyebrows, she knows a thing or two about tweezers. Her slant tipped tweezers easily grasp each hair and make eyebrow shaping a cinch.
For Breast Cancer Awareness month, these tweezers are pretty in pink, and the net proceeds from the sale of these tweezers benefit the Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
Anastasia’s tweezers can be purchased for $28 wherever her products are sold, including her website and Sephora.

An Illuminating Tweezer.

An Illuminating Tweezer.

“Pluck. Pluck Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. Damn…
Pluck. Pluck. Ouch – missed again!”
Well, that would be me trying to pluck my eyebrows on an almost daily basis. Sometimes the light is just not right, and time is of the essence.
Sephora must have read my mind when they decided to launch these Illuminating Tweezers.

You see, these stainless steel slanted tip tweezers not only grasp even the tiniest of eyebrow hairs, the very bright, white light illuminates the small area to be plucked. They even come in a durable case with mirror.
Genius!

Lady in Red.

My sister is attending an all red event. Yes – Red. You have heard of the Pure White parties where one can only wear white, right? Well this party is a fund raising event wear all the women have to wear red. How fun!
She has the dress and shoes, which match perfectly. She only sports a French manicure, so that’ll work. She just needed some help for her lips.

I came upon a wonderful beauty tip from Ross Burton, National Artistic Director for Lancôme.
To create a dramatic red lip that stays on all night, here’s my best trick: Start by applying …read more

Proven to Visibly Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles.

Proven to Visibly Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles.

We see this written across many anti-aging wrinkle creams. It is even sometimes is difficult to distinguish between the ones that truly have the proof to back it up versus those who hope that with their fancy ingredients, it will work.
One microdermabrasion product I have been using, has been put to the test. And form my few weeks of results, I believe that it is working.

I have been using the Daily Microdermabrasion Cleansing Disks from RoC – and I have fallen for these. These discs go way beyond normal cleansing by providing results similar to microdermabrasion. But it is …read more

Tweezelight

When I first spotted this little gadget, I really couldn’t understand why anyone would need tweezers that lit up, so I clicked on the photo for more information. Then I noticed it also mentioned splinters. Ingrown hairs I usually go to a room with lots of light, but splinters I can understand. Unless light is beamed right on the spot, chances are you won’t be able to see it. Have definitely been there and done that, about a million times. And I hate when someone has to start scratching the area with a pin just to find the splinter. Yes, …read more
