Having the Best Sex of Your Life.

I am one of those people who think that my parents only did it enough times to conceive a child, because just the thought of anything more is – oh yuck – I don’t even have the right word for it. Now, I am sure my kiddos feel the same way about my husband and I. But I hear that sex gets better with age, and I overheard a conversation last night that made my chuckle.
These two women, that had to be well into their seventies, were talking about “quickies” and how they are really having the best sex of …read more

Well, I am not officially a Baby Boomer, but my hubby is. Do I qualify by marriage?
There is a new website in town, called Boomertowne. I have seen it multiple times being plugged on TV! Yes, by way of television commercials. I was sort of surprised to see this.
When looking over the website, which is just overloaded with special guests and almost too much information, I sort of felt like I was lost in there. In the About Us page of the website, they lay claims to have three key areas, but then it goes on to …read more

Most of you don’t know too much about me, but I am going to give you a little peak into my home life right now. I am more than half way through a huge home remodeling project, and my kitchen is brand new! YEAH!
Granted only 1/2 of the kitchen is done, and my humungous refrigerator/freezer (it will go on the wall opposite from the sink, next to the wall oven) is on back order and not due in until the end of the month. Everything else is functional. I feel we have made so much progress in the last few …read more

I saw the famed and fabulous Bobbi Brown on the Today Show a few weeks ago. She was on to promote her new book, Bobbi Brown Living Beauty. She said she decided to write this book as she is about to be 50 herself, and wants to celebrate beauty with women of an older age.
Here are Bobbi’s top ten anti-aging tips from the book.
Renew skin with a retinoid cream.
Erase brown spots with laser resurfacing.
Layer skin-care formulas.
Use concealer to brighten and lighten the under-eye area.
Add a pop of color to cheeks.
Define eyes with liner.
Brighten your face with hair highlights.

Let’s face it – we have a dilemma. We want healthy, shiny, beautiful hair! You know, the hair that we had 20 or 30 years ago – only a few decades into blow drying, frying, coloring, and beyond!
Nexxus heard our cry and now has a line for younger looking hair, called Y Serum. There are three core products to the line: Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment – with a Finishing Mist available as well. The products are designed to work together, of course, and within just days, they restore years of hair damage.
The secret to the products is the Y Serum …read more

Newspaper columnist Cathy Hamilton was chronicling a personal account of the adventures and misadventures of being a woman over 50 in a weekly column called Boomer Girl Diary for a local newspaper when she began searching online for a community of baby boomer women. What she found was there was not much to be found. And so, Boomergirl was born.
Boomergirl, created for boomer women, born 1946 to 1964, is a community-based website offering beauty, fashion, family, finances, fitness and health advice; information of all sort and the latest news; blogs written by Boomergirl staff and members; clubs to join; …read more
