]]> I didn’t know about this until I read about it over at Ebeauty.com
and I have a son who is a hairstylist! Must remember to ask him if he has ever heard of a thing. Apparently using the shampoo bowl can do nasty things to the carotid artery in your neck. Now that is not something to play around with!

According to the article, if you are uncomfortable, sometimes all it takes is a towel under the neck to alleviate the discomfort and the danger.

]]> Just finished my six month carotid artery ultrasound and unfortunately was booked with a new technician. She nearly shoved the ultrasound thingy through my neck. I swear I’m going to have bruises tomorrow. Some can be so gentle and then others leave you with an aching throat.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, I couldn’t get anything out of her. I can usually get them chatting so that they give a little away, but not this one. She merely told me that the results should be in 3-4 days from now. Hardly said a word throughout the entire procedure.

Now I have a major headache… Hopefully I will be back later with something more interesting that my carotid artery! ;)
