I could not believe it when I heard that Kim Cattrall is 50 years old. She looks fabulous, doesn’t she? I love her dress choice for the Sex and the City movie premiere.
What do you think? And who is going to see Sex and the City Movie this weekend?
Let’s Hear it for Marie Osmond!

I am so proud of my “lil bit country girl” Marie Osmond for performing like no other on this season’s Dancing with the Stars. The girl is 48! She looks incredible, has such a fun spirit and personality, and danced her ass off!
At 48 years old, Marie danced circles around most of the other girl’s in the competition. I can only wish that I look half as good and be as in good shape as she is in 8 more years.
Well, Marie. Here is your trophy, as I am officially naming you our Aging Fab Gal of the Year!
Congratulations!
Victoria Beckham: I Hate your Hair.

If you have an angled bob hairstyle, please forgive me. I just do not find this hairstyle flattering at all. In fact, I hate the angled bob hairstyle.
Starting with Victoria Beckham and now appearing on everyday stay at home Moms, this angled bob is everywhere - and everywhere is too much for me.
Not many people can pull of this look. If your face has a strong jaw line, this look is not for you. If you have a very long face, this angled bob will make your face look longer. And if you have a round or chubby face whatsoever, don’t even try this hairstyle. And it doesn’t look well on most women over 30!

My Interview with Victoria Principal, founder of Principal Secret.

I was recently honored to get to interview the fabulous and beautiful Victoria Principal. You knew her as Pamela Ewing from Dallas, and most recently her skin care line, Principal Secret.
Last week, I passed along her tips for aging with grace, poise, intelligence, and beauty. She had so much more to share, and I was extremely lucky to pass along some questions directly to her.
Teri:
Hi Victoria - Thank you so much for taking my questions. I write for Aging Fabulous, a beauty blog where we try to age as beautifully and gracefully as we can. You are such a wonderful role-model for us that are aging, and I wondered what inspires you. What do you do to stay and look so young and fit?
Victoria:
I approach life in what I call the “whole health” way, focusing on not only physical health but my mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Don’t forget the basics, which we all must do, exercising, eating, and sleeping well. I remind myself to appreciate my life each and every day. I make time for myself by listening to my favorite music, reading a good book and reflecting on my life. I also remember to think of myself as the age that I feel, not the age that I am.
Teri:
How involved are you with Principal Secret? Are you involved in the process of coming up with product ideas and testing?
Victoria:
I am involved in each and every aspect of the company. In 1973, I found myself allergic to most skincare and the makeup I had to use on camera, so I collaborated with a chemist to create cleansers and moisturizers just for me. Those products became the foundation for Principal Secret. I noticed more and more women were resorting to drastic measures to achieve younger-looking skin, but knew that there was a better way-for all of us.
I conceive of the product ideas, which are often based on my own needs. I am involved in the products, the packaging, the marketing, and everything else. Principal Secret carries my name, so I make sure that each product reflects the integrity with which I founded the company.
Teri:
What is your favorite thing about being involved in Principal Secret? Meeting fellow Principal Secret devotees? The infomercials? Or, perhaps, being involved in such revolutionary anti-aging product development?
Victoria:
All of it! Since the Principal Secret product line debuted in 1991, we have pioneered one of the longest running direct-to-consumer skincare brands in history!
What I most love is meeting customers. I am blessed with the opportunity to sit and chat with men and women who have been changed inside and out by the brand. Knowing that I am helping people of all ages feel and look fabulous through the intimate act of skincare is an honor.
Teri:
What is your daily skin care routine?
Victoria:
I follow the Principal Secret method, which is three steps in three minutes and then I’m finished.
I begin by washing my face with the rich and creamy Reclaim Total Cleanser, then treat and protect the delicate skin around my eyes with the EyeMazing Eye Serum. I conclude by moisturizing my face and neck with our Reclaim Revolutionary day or night cream.
Those are my three simple steps to beautiful healthy looking skin for life…you can actually watch me do it here.
Teri:
What is your favorite Principal Secret product or the one you cannot most live without?
Victoria:
Let’s see, there are so many to choose from! There are the Reclaim Day and Night Creams, the EyeMazing Eye Serum, the Enzyme Mask & Peel, Age Braker Line Braker Serum…and I’ve just realized that this is like choosing a favorite child. I can’t do it. I simply cannot live without Principal Secret!!!
Teri:
Do you have a few words of wisdom for us aging women who strive to have it all?
Victoria:
Slow down and enjoy life. Try everything you can at least once and make sure you focus on your own happiness as well as others. Don’t waste hours on your skincare regime - three minutes is all you need to look great and have more time to do what is most important - live and have fun!
Teri:
Lastly, Are you working on any projects, or is there something we can look out for you to appear in?
Victoria:
I have a few new Principal Secret products coming out in the next few months…I can’t tell you what they are, but I can tell you that they are fabulous!
I am also preparing to travel to space, which is incredibly exciting. It has always been a dream of mine to go to Space and see the Earth in all its glory, so I am thrilled for this amazing opportunity of a lifetime. As I said, you must do everything there is to do at least once.
And before or by 2010, I would like to take off for four months and sail around the world.
Teri:
Thank you again, Victoria. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. I am sure you helped my readers try age as fabulous as we possibly can.
Look for my review of the Principal Secret products next month. So, far - I am loving the simple steps and super results.
What’s Wrong with this Picture?

Is it me, or is there something wrong with this picture?
This is the soon to be 40 year old, country mega-star Faith Hill. She is stunning.

More than fit for a magazine cover, but Redbook didn’t think so. Jezebel.com got this “before” cover shot of Faith prior to being Photo Shopped to the editor’s liking.
I am appalled. What are we supposed to aspire to? She is beautiful. Why did the editor feel that she needed so much re-touching?

Victoria Principal: Fab over 50!

Best known for her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing on the hit television series Dallas, Victoria Principal, now 57 years old, has some of the best secrets to aging with grace, poise, intelligence, and beauty…and she’s ready to share!
Victoria suggests that as this really is a life style change, the best way to bring the changes to your life is by starting small and setting aside a few minutes each day. This way you can focus fully on one activity that invokes all of your senses, so the benefits can be seen and felt immediately.
The following are Victoria’s tips below for spending one week, just one week, appreciating the most basic things in life.
Day One – Start your week cherishing the gift of sight by spending as many moments as you can silently looking at the beauty that nature holds. Watch a bird take flight, the breeze roll a leaf around in its grasp, or the clouds drift by lazily, and behold the wonder of it all.
Day Two – Celebrate the gift of hearing on day two through listening to your favorite song, to your child tell you a story or simply to the song in the breeze; if you say nothing and only listen, you should be able to hear your inner voice telling you what you really need.
Day Three – Embrace the gift of smell on day three by making a pot of coffee, even if you don’t drink it! Squeeze fresh lemons and oranges on a gray day or wrap yourself in laundry straight from the dryer. Visit a florist and smell every flower until you’ve chosen a bouquet that suits your soul.
Day Four – Treasure your taste buds by cooking a fabulous and healthy meal on day four. Fill your plate with brightly colored vegetables, and add a sprig of mint to cleanse your palate between courses, and let the flavors take you to the place you most desire to be.
Day Five – And finally, appreciate your ability to feel things by celebrating the gift of touch. Wrap a warm blanket around you, or place a cold cloth to the back of your neck. Hold the hand of someone you love, or take a long, warm bath and when you get out, stroke your skin with a luxurious moisturizer.
Try it and see the wonders “whole health” living can do for you. More of Victoria’s tips, and her great skin care products (review of the Reclaim line coming soon) visit PrincipalSecret.com.

The Tony Awards were held earlier this week on Sunday night. All the big names in the theater were in attendance.
I was so thrilled to see some of my favorite fabulous ladies of Broadway there.
Just look at these beauties, all of whom are over 40, I do believe:

Top Row, left to right - Angela Lansbury, Audra McDonald, Bernadette Peters
Middle Row, left to right - Christine Ebersole, Dana Ivey, Felicity Huffman
Bottom Row, left to right - Marcia Gay Harden. Patti LuPone, Vanessa Redgrave
Simply ravishing - each and every one of them. Oh - to have it so together!

I caught a few minutes of the morning gabfest over at The View this morning, and I was thrilled to see the gorgeous Goldie Hawn filling in as a guest co-host. She looks amazing. She is amazing! I got me thinking about her age. She is 62 years old, people! It’s not fair that she can look so great, and be so fun, and full of life.

Goldie Hawn is definitely Sassy (and sexy) and over 60!
