Will be back tomorrow with more news about Florida and what I’m up to and yes, my family thinks I’m nuts for wanting to work while on holiday, but what can I say??
It’s fun
So, I will see you tomorrow. Have a great Christmas Eve and a great day tomorrow, just in case my family won’t let me work!!

Not everyone in my family likes to shop as much as I do, so I decided to make it easy for everyone and choose just one store for my wish list. At the moment, I’m kind of partial to the Lush line, so here goes…
Eggnog Lipbalm
Winter Wonderland
Reincarnate Solid Shampoo
Honey, It’s Christmas
Angels on Bare Skin
On the other hand, if they spot something that they know I will love, that’s okay with me too. I plan on spending a lot of time pampering me the entire month of January!

Most of the year, I’m researching something or other, so to be able to stretch out on the sofa and lose myself in someone else’s life is rather blissful! So, this is what I’m reading at the moment. Actually, it has four novellas inside and I’m in the middle of “The Twelve Desserts of Christmas. And at the end of each chapter, author Joanne Fluke, offers the recipes for each of the desserts that she talks about it in novella. She almost has me checking out what ingredients I have… just in case I get the urge to bake!

But the best part is the ornament that is offered in the center of the book. Okay, I really wasn’t expecting anything much in the way of this freebie, and only opened the little envelope out of curiosity, but to my amazement, this is one cool little ornament. They said that it was 3 dimensional and it really is. You twist the top of the ornament and suddenly you find yourself with the most unusual ornament with a floating snowflake inside.

Not bad for a freebie! Not bad at all!

To be honest, I’m still amazed at the ornament and I will actually hang it on the tree. Never expected that!!

I must be the only person who can walk into a mall looking for a pair of white socks and come out with a buggy full of magazines. Hey, it was a Mother’s Day fundraiser and they had groups of women’s magazines at a $1.00 a year. Can you imagine. So, I simply filled up a buggy with magazines from the sixties and on up.

Anyway, for this entry, I won’t be going back that far, but I did just pull a magazine off my shelf from a long ago December and they were talking about holiday colors for fingernails. At the time, colors like hot chocolate, eggnog, gingerbread and my favorite… sugar cookies were on the hot list. Apparently if the color mimicked anything Christmasy, you were on the right track.

So my question for you this morning, (yes, I’m wide awake at 3:30, so I thought that I might as well get up and work) What colour will you be painting your nails this holiday season?? Come on, give us some suggestions so that we can all hit the parties with dazzling nails!
