I hope all the Dad’s in the world had a great day.
As a friend of mine was on her way to the cemetery to visit her Father, it really hit home with me how lucky I am to be able to spend the day with my Father. Especially this year.
My Dad has kidney cancer, which there is no direct treatment for. He did have his kidney removed three years ago, but the cancer came back earlier this year. He has undergone many tests and procedures and actually had the tumor and surrounding tissue frozen last week. We sure hope …read more

Newspaper columnist Cathy Hamilton was chronicling a personal account of the adventures and misadventures of being a woman over 50 in a weekly column called Boomer Girl Diary for a local newspaper when she began searching online for a community of baby boomer women.
