So, I just came back from Las Vegas, and did some serious people watching. My hubby and I agreed that we have ever seen so many bigger breasted women. Like he thought, it used to be that about one in thirty women had bigger breasts. Now it is like one in thirty women that have smaller breasts.

I am wondering if plastic surgery is just so affordable that so many women are getting bigger breasts through breast augmentation. Or is it via those silicone inserts? Push-Up Bras? Or could it simply be the fact of hormones being injected into our foods and women are just growing up with larger breasts?

I always thought that I had bigger breasts, I am in a D – Cup, but larger breasts do run in my family. But everywhere I look, the younger women are busting out all over.

Why do we so concentrate on breast size in this country, anyway?

I am in a full on major exercise kick these days. I do a bit of stretching, light weights, and stomach crunches, but my main focus is walking. Oh – I like the walking. I am up to just over 5 miles a day, which I break up into two separate walking expeditions.

The first walk I take is in the morning, and that walk is just over 2 miles. It is a nice easy walk, with only one hill up in the beginning, and another one at the end – which is sometimes a killer, depending how I am balancing my time. This little over 2 mile walk is taking me just about 35 minutes, which is great time, if I say so myself. I have my iPod all geared up every morning, ready to go with the same 35 minutes of song, that lets me walk to the beat. And when I see people looking or sometimes staring at me, I just smile and say a warm, welcoming, “Good Morning!”. You see, it is early, the kids are off to school, and I need to get my day going – so as I am walking, I am belting out the tunes – oh yeah!

My second walk of the day is usually taken right after dinner. This walk is about 3 miles. I walk to the high school track, which is 1/2 mile away. I love the track. It was just built last year, and it is this really weird spongy/asphalt kind of material. It is almost rubbery – and so easy on the joints! I walk around the track 8 times, which someone told me is 2 miles then back home, which is another 1/2 mile. On this walk, I am bit more subdued, as there are a bunch of us walking on the track, and inevitably there is someone that joins in with me, and starts conversing with me. It is not so bad, but I don’t keep the pace like I do in the morning. But it is exercise nonetheless.

Do I have any more walking buddies out there? More importantly are there any more crazies out there that sing at the top of their lungs when they are walking to the beat of their own drummer? I can’t be the only one!

She looks amazing. She is amazing! I got me thinking about her age. She is 62 years old, people! It’s not fair that she can look so great, and be so fun, and full of life.

Goldie Hawn is definitely Sassy (and sexy) and over 60!

It is a fact that cellulite is a progressive condition that may worsen over time and with age.

In my never ending quest to look as young as I feel, I am going to start doing something about this damn cellulite that is really starting to creep up on the back of my thighs.

Enter, CelluliteRx. I am trying out this 3 step system from Institut’ DERMed.
The 3 steps to the system:
Step 1 – LipoSmooth Body Polish
Step 2 – LipoTherm Contour Cream
Step 3 – LipoLift Firming Cream

I have been going over the instructions, and plan to start treatment tonight with the handy dandy Body Massager tool that will aid in circulation of the creams.

I have the Travel Kit, which includes the massager, and tubes of product for each of the 3 steps. This travel kit retails for $79.

I will be sure to update you with my thoughts after I have used it for a few weeks. I can’t wait to see the results!

One of the most important things for those in their 50’s to do is to incorporate exercise into your daily routine.
By exercising, you should be able to keep your blood sugar levels in good control, preventing diabetes and positively affecting your blood pressure and heart rate. Exercise is also very important for healthy bones – osteoporosis prevention, possibly.

An easy thing to do is to incorporate weight bearing/resistance exercises to strengthen your bones. Resistance exercise to help build your bone means that you exercise to the point of exhaustion. Lets say you are lifting a dumbbell, you need to do as many reps in order to exhaust that muscle. And you will know when it is exhausted when you simply can’t do another lift with that muscle. This is the point that the resistance is enough so that you begin building more bone.

The Exercise Data Base has a great selection of resistance exercises for you to follow. Try it and let me know how you feel.

I finally got around to picking up one of the popular exercise balls, as I have been suffering from a bit of lower back pain (could it be from all the snow shoveling lately?) recently.

By rolling around on it in certain ways, it should help alleviate some of my back pain by strengthening the core back muscles. I have found that one of the easiest ways to use it is by simply sitting on the ball while I am writing away here on the computer. Yes, by simply sitting on it. By sitting on this ball, it requires me to constantly balance myself on it by using my abdominal and back muscles – whether I know it or not.

It is simple to use and almost fun.

These exercise balls can be picked up from major discount and sporting good stores, and start around just $15. There are even exercise books and dvds to guide in specialized exercises for different parts of your body.

Maintaining beauty with age comes from passion and creativity. You have to get up every day thinking about what you can do rather than what you can’t. I can’t conceive of being bored because I’m constantly thinking about new things to create. I’m working on a homemade line of purses while producing movies and trying to come up with scripts.
On a daily basis I need a creative space in which to function. I’ll surround myself with pencil drawings, photos of an image I want to paint or designs for a purse I want to make.”

And that is just the beginning of the interview. Jane then gets down to specifics… talking about the kinds of exercises that work for her, what she thinks of coffee and red wine, her experience with Botox, and then even her preferences for the cosmetics she uses. And oh yes, she also talks about her hair.

The article is three pages long, and I read the entire interview. Most of the time, I don’t get that far. If I get bored, I move on to something else. It didn’t happen this time.

Many of us head into summer thinking we’ll act like Mother Theresa, while getting an Elle Macpherson bod. But realistically, summer isn’t all exercise in the great outdoors and eating summer-fresh fruits and veggies – what fun would that be? Your summer sins don’t have to be deadly though: read on for expert advice on atoning for less-than-saintly behaviour – and feeling great all season.”

It’s all about not getting carried away with all things… summer. Easy to do I know, but if you step back and ask yourself… do I really want that maple walnut ice cream cone (which happens to be my favorite flavor) you just might fit into your jeans when September roles around.

And oh yes, I’m trying to take my own advice when it comes to money too! Do I really need to spend another fifty dollars at my favorite cosmetic store??

Think of it as someone pointing you in a direction that is not going to lead you to somewhere where you don’t want to be at the end of the summer.

Little indulgences yes… big indulgences… think first and then act!
