Who colors their hair? I do, I do!
When I first had my hair colored, it was just highlights. Then I started going lighter and lighter until I reached the lovely shade of light golden blonde that it is now.
Let me tell you though, this color is getting hard to maintain. It is a bit lighter in the Summer months, especially around my face. Yes – right where the grays are. And coloring my roots every week is just out of the question. First off, it is damaging, and secondly – I do not have the time.

Where Is All This Hair Coming From?

Seriously – pre-menopause sucks. I am growing strange little hairs in places that I never have before.
For instance, I have a very thick, wiry hair growing out on my collarbone. Strange. I am afraid to pluck it or wax it, so I am just keeping it short by trimming it a few times a week. Then there are the strangely long hairs growing in my eyebrows almost overnight. And plucking these babies hurt. They really hurt. Why is it that men seem distinguished with white hair, but we haven’t quite caught up with that way of thinking?
I’m trying to convince myself not to pick up a box of color, but I’m wavering. What’s your thoughts on coloring your hair when the silver strands begin to appear?

Gray Is Going to Happen
It’s quite normal to start noticing gray stands during your 30s and obviously the darker you are, the more noticeable it will be. A lot of factors seem to come into play. Some I was aware of, some I wasn’t. If your parents went gray early, chances are you will too. And here is one that I didn’t know. It is thought that smoking can also cause you to gray prematurely. Haven’t a clue if this is true or not… Happened across this piece of information quite by accident.
