Frederic Fekkai Marine Summer Hair Zero-Humidity Frizz Control is a weightless, alcohol-free mist with sea algae extract that blocks humidity while sealing in hydration to keep sleek for all-day frizz and fly-away protection.  I spray this on my hair when it is damp before I style.  This doesn’t stop all frizz BUT it does keep about 85% under control and for me that is better than nothing!

Ted Gibson Fix-It Gel I am normally not a fan of hair gel in general BUT this is the best one I have tried in a LONG time. Fix It Gel gives hair luscious body, bold movement, intense shine, and protection from humidity, without the usual sticky gel residue.  Perfect for a slicked back summer do without that crunchy weird gel feel.

T3 Refresh Volumizing Dry Shampoo – My all time favorite dry shampoo, perfect for refreshing your hair after the gym when you don’t have time to wash it or if your hair gets a bit oily between shampoos. Phytocitrus Restructuring Mask for Color Treated Hair – If you stay in the sun a lot over the summer and your hair is color treated, then you know how the color can change and dry out. I recently discovered Phytocitrus which prolongs and enhances the beauty of recently colored, highlighted or permed hair. In addition, it smoothes the cuticle layer to ensure maximum shine. When I use this, my hair is smooth as glass.

Seen, Debra Messing looking celebrity ready at the Latisse Event Thursday in Hollywood. Latisse for those of you who don’t know is the newest eyelash sensation from Allergan. I have been using it now for almost two months and I am happy to report my lashes have never looked better.

Speaking of  looking better, hairstylist to the stars and owner of The Prive Salons, Laurent Dufourg knows a thing or two about giving his clients gorgeous hair. His list of celebs reads like a who’s who on page six of the New York Post. Stars like Teri Hatcher, Tea Leoni, Jewel, and Debra Messing have him on speed dial for his reliably silky strands that he gets using a densely packed round brush, and his Prive Finishing Texture Spray. This spray is amazing btw!

To get beautiful, silky locks, Laurent’s tip is to “brush with greatness”! To get sleek, shiny hair, and avoid breakage, you may need to dip into your piggy bank and invest in a good brush. A brush with all-natural bristles works best. The synthetic ones can melt with the heat of your blow dryer and irritate your scalp. If it gives me gorgeous locks I am definitely going for the all natural brush.

Jennifer Connelly at the NYC Premiere of  her latest movie, The Day The Earth Stood Still

Don’t hate Jennifer because her hair is sleek, shiny and beautiful. I’ve got the Insider Secret on how she does it, and it’s easier than you think. It use to be that trying to straighten your hair, especially thick, and/or curly was a big job. The book is titled The Hair Color Mix Book, and it is written by Lorri Goddard-Clark. Lorri is one of the most in-demand hair colorists in the world. Not only does she work at the Neil George Salon in Los Angeles, she continually is traveling the world to cater to her top coloring clients, some of which are Drew Barrymore (who wrote the forward to the book), Tobey Maguire, Renee Zellweger, Madonna (for her much talked-about Music video and others), Meg Ryan, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, and many more.

The book has such easy to follow recipes using products simply found at your local drugstore and in your very own kitchen cabinet. There is also a full color chart to determine your exact hair color and tone, and by knowing this, you can easily follow her recipes to get your desired shade.

With easy to follow directions on how to highlight, ribbon, cover grays, tone down color, and more, you can easily become your own hair color expert. I plan to try her ribbon highlighting method to add more blonde to my golden locks. I will definitely let you know how it goes. As, I have never used foil on myself at home, it should definitely be an experience!

Well, that would be me trying to pluck my eyebrows on an almost daily basis. Sometimes the light is just not right, and time is of the essence.

More than fit for a magazine cover, but Redbook didn’t think so. Jezebel.com got this “before” cover shot of Faith prior to being Photo Shopped to the editor’s liking.

I am appalled. What are we supposed to aspire to? She is beautiful. Why did the editor feel that she needed so much re-touching?
