A Great Dryness Cure For Your Skin

As I mentioned in one of my previous post on the benefits of Flaxseed in your diet . Studies have recently shown that taking flaxseed can really improve dry and sensitive skin. Researchers assigned 45 nonsmoking women with these skin issues to take 2.2 grams of flaxseed oil for 12 weeks.

After the initial 12 weeks all experienced improvements to their skin, including sensitivity, redness, hydration, scaling, and roughness. Flaxseed oil is rich in fatty acids which help to reduce inflammation to the skin. I continue to include flaxseed in my diet everyday and have already started to feel the benefits.

Here’s to beautiful skin in 2009!

A Little Peace of Mind

I was talking earlier about how much stress actresses put on themselves to fit the mold that Hollywood sets up for them. I’m lucky, I don’t have those worries. Mine are primarily to stay healthy as long as possible.

Now bear with me… my mind tends to wander ;)

30 Lighted White Tulip FlowersThat lead me to start thinking about my office and how that affects my peace of mind. Of all the rooms in the house, this one is the messiest. I have books half opened, notes scattered across the desk… it really is awful.

So, I’m thinking that this afternoon… see I’m already putting it off… I’m going to put the timer on for 15 minutes and see what I can get accomplished. I was reading somewhere that peace of mind needs peaceful surroundings. This room doesn’t even come close!

I’ve Simplified Everything

I have to agree. If you wear too much, it simply looks as if you are trying too hard. Thankfully, we don’t have to do that any more. Those days are over. I simply wear enough to make me look healthy. That usually means a touch of liner, a bit of mascara, some blush and some color on the lips.
