It’s another year and another chance for everyone to show their support for women and heart disease. An illness which affects thousands of women from 40 to 60 every year. During these years it is especially crucial when a woman’s risk of heart disease starts to rise.
The Heart Truth is a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease. It is sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, part of the National Institutes of Heath, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. I really dislike fish. I don’t know why, but I simply can’t stand the stuff… all except tuna. My family on the other hand loves fish of all sorts which means that we visit a lot of sea food restaurants and all that gorgeous fish and whatever you call the rest of it, is lost on me. All those nutrients are simply passing me by and that kind of worries me. Aging Over 65
My British Grandmother-in-Law, swore that drinking alcohol would help her live a long and healthy life and she did not miss a day without her “stout” . She also lived to a ripe old age! And it was her doctor who pushed her in this direction! The latest research is saying the same thing.
“Researchers followed 5,595 people 65 and older, recording their medical history and alcohol consumption over 7 to 10 years. The study appeared in the July 18 issue of The Journal of the American College of Cardiology.”
