Get Longer, Thicker Lashes With LATISSE

Get Longer, Thicker Lashes With LATISSE

As you get older, your lashes aren’t as long and lush as they used to be. That’s why many women are turning to products to help grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker.
Many beauty experts, celebrities and other women around the country believe in LATISSE, a prescription treatment especially for hypotrichosis (another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes).
This product is available only by prescription and any doctor can prescribe it. From LATISSE…
In most US states, consumers can purchase LATISSE from their prescribing doctor. In a few states, laws prohibit doctors from dispensing prescription products so you will …read more

Clinical Study on NeuLash & Healthy Lashes

The hottest beauty trend for 2009, luscious lashes, means consumers are demanding products that actually deliver results. While a number of products have hit the shelves within recent months, both prescription and non-prescription, many are wondering if these products actually work before they make a purchase. neuLash, a brand that specializes in the lash category, has not only conducted studies that prove the safety of neuLash, but independent study results have shown the efficacy of the brand.

An independent study was conducted on participants using neuLash once a day for eight weeks.

Anti-Aging for Your Lashes with NeuLash

Anti-Aging for Your Lashes with NeuLash

Anti-aging for your lashes??  Why not? With all the hype surrounding prescription lash enhancers (they have tons of listed side effects, including discoloring of your iris…yikes!)  this is most definitely worth a look.  According to studies, an eyelash has an average lifecycle of about 150 to 200 days. Taking into consideration the number of external aggressors that most women expose their lashes to everyday, including mascaras, eyelash curlers, makeup removers, and environmental aggressors, this lifecycle is often cut even shorter, meaning lashes rarely have the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential.
Conditioning eyelashes with a new product called neuLash may provide …read more

Physicians Formula’s New Mascara is Going Green

In keeping with my list of beauty products going green and leaving out harsh chemicals and parabens, Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara is the latest to make the list. If the packaging doesn’t sell you, the mascara will. With a 100 percent natural lash plumping formula that contains the purest ingredients, and provides 5 times the lash boosting for length, volume, and definition. Who doesn’t want that?
I have a feeling we are going to see a lot more beauty products that focus on healthy ingredients, not only good for you, but good for the environment too.
xx,

Time for a new mascara

It’s about that time. I just looked at the date that I taped to my last tube of mascara and the three months is just about up, so I’m looking out to you for a suggestion on what I should try next.
What’s your favorite and what can it do for your lashes?? Mine are rather pathetic looking on their own. Why is it that it’s always the guys that are on the receiving end of long, gorgeous lashes?? Just isn’t fair!

5 Makeup Mistakes…

Much as I loved Twiggy’s lashes in the sixties… I certainly wouldn’t try re-creating them now. For one, my daughter wouldn’t let me out the door looking like that… but ahhh the memories! But getting back on track, I have come up with a short list of things you really shouldn’t do as one begins to get a wee bit older. While certain makeup trends looked pretty cool in the past, they certainly don’t anymore!! Here’s my list.
1. Don’t use a harsh liner. Instead of a heavy line of black, opt for a softer shade of chocolate!

2. Blush shouldn’t …read more

Sleeping With Your Makeup On

I always knew that this was a bad idea, but it wasn’t until I read this, that it really hit home. For every night that you leave you makeup on, you can pretty much take 10 days off the life of the face. Not sure what it means, but it sure the hell scared me.
Then I started to think about it. Makeup left on your face for eight or ten hours (if we are lucky) grinds into the pores and clogs them up. Anything under the makeup just gets pushed in deeper. And then I thought about mascara …read more

Fit, Famous and Over 40

It seems that the people at the top have finally realized that older women actually have something to offer.
The professional life expectancy of a top model was never good. When asked about the prospects of a group of twentysomethings, Cathy Gould, the director of Elite Model Management, once famously said: “They are too old to succeed in a field where much of the talent is recruited out of school.
However, a seismic shift is under way in this most image-obsessed of businesses.

Sharon Stone is about to become the next face of one of Christian Dior’s skincare product line. A …read more

If It Smells Bad

Yes, I should know better, but I don’t always follow my own advice. I reached for a tube of mascara yesterday without thinking about how old it might possibly be, and twisted off the lid. I should have taken a quick sniff., but I was in a hurry. I applied enough to lengthen my lashes and then I noticed the oddest smell. And it wasn’t pleasant! I then realized that it was coming from my lashes. The mascara had gone off! I don’t even want to think about how much bacteria had to be in the tube to …read more
