When we are open to them, they suddenly seem to fall into our laps. And that is not a bad thing. There are good surprises too! I’m sure that Steve at Aging Hipster notices lots of little surprises when he goes for his long treks in the country. I really need to do more of that. Well, most of you know that I have an issue with how white my teeth use to be and aren’t anymore. Does that make sense? I asked the dentist about it once and he said that it is an aging thing. I think that I have been wearing lipstick since I was about twelve years old and that would include pretty much every color in the rainbow. So this morning I thought I would look up what other people feel about lipstick. Here’s what I found!

Okay, you have a little time today so you are going to add a few steps that you usually… ignore. Feeling guilty… don’t even think about it. My regular day makeup is about 3 minutes tops. This is a whole seven extra minutes!!

I’m giving Teri the benefit of the doubt here. I’m saying that someone else did her makeup for the Grammys and applied it with a little too heavy a hand. There is way too much eye makeup, and even the color of her lipstick just wasn’t right. Her makeup artist needs to learn the meaning of subtle!
There is a rule of thumb here. As you get older, you will want to add less and less makeup. The last thing you want to do is emphasize every little line that you have acquired. Enough said.
