For anyone who colors their hair, you know what a drag it is when the color starts fading and it hasn’t even been a few weeks. Sulfates found in most hair care products are the true enemy and rob our locks of its natural moisture which leaves it feeling dry.
If you take the time to read the ingredient list on a shampoo or conditioner chances are you will find at least lauryl sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate.

Up until these newest products from L’Oreal Paris, there has not been a drugstore brand to date that has ever created a sulfate-free formula until EverPure.

As someone who is a fanatic when it comes to her hair, I am all over any hair products that are sulfate free. For a while I was using Nanoworks from Pureology, an amazing shampoo and conditioner for colored hair, but at nearly $50 a bottle I had to re-think the price. So when I heard about the EverPure shampoo and conditioner of course I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to try them both. Each are scented with rosemary, while the shampoo is infused with juniper, and the conditioner with a touch of mint.

So far my color still looks good, and it has been a little over a month. I am still deciding whether or not I like the shampoo, (a little drying), but am wondering if my color will begin fading if I stop using. The conditioner on the other hand is fabulous and leaves my hair feeling smooth and shiny. Either way the good news is that L’oreal has gotten on the sulfate-free bandwagon and we are likely to see other over the counter brands get on board too.

I know that my makeup bag is just a wee bit overstuffed at the moment and I have to wonder if I need it all. Are there some items in there that I picked up on a whim and if so, what would I classify as essentials??
One of my favorite TV shows picked nine items and most are under $10.00 and they are made by companies that I’m familiar with… L’Oreal, Revlon, Rimmel and Wet and Wild to name a few.
What would you say that the contents of your makeup bag are worth??

The Academy Award-winning actress, who celebrated her 60th birthday this year, has just signed a contract as a spokesperson for skincare and cosmetics giant L’Oreal Paris.
There was a time just a few years ago when women over the age of 30 were put quietly in their place… on the back burner. But not anymore thank goodness. And as a sidenote, you can see just how much a great hairstyle and trendy makeup can do for you! She certainly doesn’t look anywhere near sixty!
