I have tried oodles of Lush products but here’s one I’m not familiar with. I like the idea of a shampoo bar. It would certainly make for easier travel when all you have to do is toss a bar into your suitcase, but I also like the idea that this can add color too. And I just found a new Lush store nearby! Lucky me! Or maybe I should say… lucky them.

This is especially important as I was just reading in Canadian Hairdresser International about how much damage you can do to your own hair if your scalp is itchy. And it makes perfect sense. Everytime you scratch, you are going to be ruffling/breakig hair cuticles, so it makes perfect sense to look for a shampoo that will take care of the scalp and then go on to cleanse your hair of all the gunk you put into it! And if it can make my hair smell deliciously spicy… even better!

Okay, the name was the first thing that caught my attention when I went browsing through a Lush shop. You have to admit, the name certainly catches your eye as you walk by all the colorful soaps and shampoo bars. But I have a weakness for bath powder and certainly one with a name like this, I wanted to know more. Here’s what I found out!

“The original, gorgeous luxury dusting powder, made to be worn with (or instead of ) your very best undies. This is no ordinary powder, this is to ‘talc’ as silk is to brushed nylon. It makes your skin feel smooth like silk (satin not tussah, obviously) because we add tiny pieces of coca butter to the cornstarch and china clay which get absorbed into your skin to moisturize it. We then perfume it with soothing vetivert and scandalously sensual jasmine to give you an appropriately luxurious scent.”

And yes, I used it just last night. A word of warning… be prepared to get addicted to this stuff. There is just something decadent about a late night bath and the scent of this bath powder is incredibly soothing. I’m sure that there is a better word out there, but just before you crawl into bed, soothing seems just about right!
