Cover Girl & Olay Introduce Simply Ageless

Cover Girl and Olay have teamed up to create a line of beauty products for aging fabulously. Their goal was to develop products that would have the benefit of a serum built into the color.

This breakthrough formula with Olay Regenerist Serum and SPF 22 is intended to stay suspended over fine lines and wrinkles, like a mineral powder that sits on the surface on your skin so not to clog your pores.  Combining CoverGirl’s color cosmetics with Olay’s Regenerist serum, the formulation boasts a new solid emulsion technology that creates a veil like finish over the skin’s imperfections, meaning it’s designed to cover imperfections without gathering in wrinkles and making skin look older. Clinically shown to provide significant improvement in skin condition in just four weeks, but based on a few of the reviews I have read it looks as though they may need a little more time in the lab perfecting their formula.

Ellen Degeneres who debuted SIMPLY AGELESS on her TV show will also be the spokesperson and face of the new beauty line. When asked about the new line she was quoted as saying “Inner beauty is important, but not nearly as important as outer beauty. That’s why I use Cover Girl Simply Ageless makeup with Olay Regenerist Serum.

Watch out Beyonce, Halle, and Jessica, looks like you may have a little competition:-)

Olay Body Thermal Pedicure.

Especially as we age, we must take care of our feet.

I have been obsessed lately with Olay’s Body Thermal Pedicure. Really, this is a treatment in a tube that I am using on my tired feet almost every night.

This treatment in a tube heats up as you apply it to your tired tootsies, while it exfoliates with it’s special blend of ingredients. The special blend consists of Bora-Bora white sand, micro-crystals, pumice, and shea butter. It sure gets the job done and feels incredible as the ingredients soften, smoothe, and relax your feet.

At $8.99 a tube at drugstores and mass merchandisers, it lasts almost a month with nightly use.

Olay Touch of Sun Body Lotion.

I am not sure how many of you use self-tanners. For me, it is the only way to go. Most often I love self-tanners and I do have a few favorites that I continue to use. I do continue to test and try many those, and once in a while though, I run into one that disappoints.

Olay Touch of Sun Body Lotion is the latest self-tanner to disappoint me.

Touch of Sun is made to moisturize first, tan second. It has a lower amount of DHA (self-tanning ingredient) so that the color comes on gradually.

I will say that I liked the scent, very little of the tell-tale self-tanner smell, and the moisturizing properties were nice. My legs were smooth and the lotion was easy to rub in. With that said, it took over a week to see any sort of color on my legs and what I finally saw was streaky. As I discontinued using it, my faux tan faded with a freckling effect which made it look even worse. Ugh.

I threw away the tube and just won’t try again.

I do know that different self-tanners do react differently on different people, so if you did have a good experience with Touch of Sun, please let us me know in the comments.

An Article on Anti-Aging Foundations.

The ever so lovely Christina from eBeautyDaily recently wrote a post about Anti-Aging Foundation.

She mentioned a foundation from RoC, called RoC Retin-Ox Illuminateur. As I love many of Roc’s anti-aging products (using their Resurfacing Cleansing Discs daily - more on that to come later), I am surprised to hear of this foundation. I have never seen this available. I wonder if it is only available in the UK. Have any of you ever heard of this, or better yet, tried it out?

muf foundationHere are a few of my anti-aging foundation recommendations:

CoverGirl Advanced Radiance Restorative Cream Foundation - This is a new foundation from CoverGirl infused with Olay’s Glucosamine complex.
Clinique Repairwear Anti-Aging Makeup - A smooth liquid foundation that smoothes wrinkles out with medium coverage, and SPF 15 to boot.
Make Up Forever Liquid Lift Foundation - Another liquid foundation, but this one is full coverage. It actually tightens your skin as you wear it to help smoothes out lines while toning it.
