You can make your legs look incredibly long and sexy, or you can look frumpy. What’s it going to be?? And yes, the kinds of shoes you wear, the pants you choose and the length of skirt you wear all come into play!
And as far as the sandals you choose… here’s a hint…it’s the width of the ankle straps that will make you or break you! Just because you aren’t thirty something anymore doesn’t mean you can’t show off great legs!

Protecting Your Skin From the Sun

Protecting Your Skin From the Sun

“It is important to only purchase sunscreens that read “Broad-Spectrum” on the label, this will ensure protection from both UVA and UVB rays. Most sunscreens protect against UVB rays, which affect the top layer of the skin and are responsible for burning, but it is just as important to protect against UVA rays, which affect the lower layers of the skin and are responsible for aging. According to Christina Valentine, brand awareness and educational manager for Bare Escentuals and MD Formulations, you should lather up twenty minutes before sun exposure to ensure that it is fully absorbed into your skin. …read more

Is It Hot Yet?

Is It Hot Yet?

If you are experiencing hot weather, chances are you have the makings of sweaty feet. For that reason alone it is very important to drink plenty of fluids and keep up with your exercise. Both will regulate your body temperature and help with the sweating issue.
No why on earth your feet would sweat when you live in sandals is beyond me, but it’s happening! So at this very moment I have a full bottle of water sitting on my desk. To be quite honest, I’m kind of getting tired of water. I know, I know… it’s one of …read more

Pedicure Anyone??

Have you paid any attention to your toes this week? If you haven’t squeezed it into your busy day, give them a good soak while watching your favorite soap opera and then work on the cuticles. The final touch… a pretty shade of polish.
And just in case you are wondering…

And then she proceeds to tell you how to give yourself a pedicure.
And I have a bit of news to share. I spent the afternoon at …read more

What You Want Your Accessories to Do

Plain and simple, your accessories highlight what you want people to notice. If you have gorgeous hands, invest in lots of interesting bracelets. If you have a great jawline and a hairstyle to match, you might want to point it out with unusual earrings.
Even a plain pair of jeans and a t-shirt can be kicked up a notch when you add an interesting belt and sandals to the mix.

The State of My Feet

I just finished writing up my blog entry for foot spas in “Shopaholics Daily” and decided to take a look at my toes. They have pretty much been encased in socks and boots the entire winter, but I am hoping that I will soon be able to pull out all of my sandals. I won’t even mention the fact that it is snowing at the moment. We will both just ignore that.
Anyway, I wasn’t really happy with what I saw. So, I spent a little time typing away with feet in the bubbling spa and then slathered them with a …read more

*Toning the Calves

Yes, I’m still thinking of times when I can walk on the beach and decided that today might be a good time to think about what our legs might look like. You know that I climb sets of stairs on a daily basis, but for those of you who think that I’m positively nuts, I have a few other ways that might appeal to you.
-walk around the kitchen as the coffee is dripping
-go for a walk around the block
-if you are headed for the bathroom, choose the one upstairs instead of the closest
-collect the mail instead of letting your …read more
