Sweet Coconut Milk.

Oh – I just took such a great, warm, long shower sudsing up with this, and I just had to share it with you. It is awesome! It is the Sweet Coconut Milk shampoo, shower gel, and bubble bath from Philosophy.

I am definitely a Philosophy girl, and I promise to bring you some more of my favorite Philosophy finds soon – but I had to just share this quickly.

This is the scent of pure coconut. Sweet and creamy coconut, Yum! I can’t tell you how excited I was using this. I am normally not one to like food scents in the shower, but this is so not foody!

You must try it!. And if you have never used anything from Philosophy, you must check out their website to fins something you would like. I think that it’s time…

I think that I need a heavy duty moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I washed my hair this morning and it simply refuses to behave. And add the fact that I flat ironed it, I guess you can’t blame it. I accidently touched a section of hair that I had just flat ironed, and it really stung. I guess your hair can only take so much abuse before it begins to fight back.

Hair Salons and Strokes

I didn’t know about this until I read about it over at Ebeauty.com
and I have a son who is a hairstylist! Must remember to ask him if he has ever heard of a thing. Apparently using the shampoo bowl can do nasty things to the carotid artery in your neck. Now that is not something to play around with!

According to the article, if you are uncomfortable, sometimes all it takes is a towel under the neck to alleviate the discomfort and the danger.

Wash Your Hair Every Day?

Sometimes that’s the worst thing you can do for your hair. Have you noticed that sometimes it the second or third day after you have shampooed that your hair looks its best??

But when you do shampoo… never skip the conditioner. And how can you not fall in love with products that smell like cinnamon buns??

How Clean Is Your Brush?

If you want your hair to stay clean, that means the tools that you use must also be clean. It seems to be a no brainer, but I have a zillion other things that need seeing to… some time today!

But one of the surest ways to ruin gorgeous hair is by pulling an oily brush through your tresses. I guess we will be saving time in the long run if we get into the habit of washing our brushes regularly in warm water and a bit of shampoo.

Maybe when we are washing our cosmetic brushes, we could spend a little time with our hair brushes.

Oh, wouldn’t it have been nice to live in the last century and have a personal maid to do all of that menial stuff!!

The Problem With Gray Hair

The problem is a simple one… it has a mind of its own and it doesn’t want to be soft anymore. So is there anything you can do other than yanking it out?

My Little Recipe

3 tablespoons of olive oil
a few drops of lavender essential oil
a small bowl

Before applying, spray your hair with water so that it is damp. Now do the same to your hands. It just works better if your hands are wet. Now apply the scented oil to your hair and leave in place for about 15 minutes. If your hair is long, you might want to wrap it up in a towel. Shampoo to remove the oil and you should notice a difference!

It won’t change the color, but it sure makes your hair softer.

Cleaning Makeup Brushes

If you are anything like me, you probably have quite a collection by now and they all need to be gently washed on a regular basis. A gentle shampoo will loosen caked on color that you probably did even know was there. Rinse well and lay over the edge of a counter so that the bristles can dry freely.

You will be amazed at how much color washes down the drain the minute the shampoo goes to work.
