Kiehl’s Açaí Damage-Repairing Skincare

This month, for the very first time, Kiehl’s enters the realm of all-natural, fully organic skincare with the Açaí Damage-Repairing Skincare Collection, which will be available on Kiehls.com on Monday. This four-product anti-aging skincare regimen uses the antioxidant-rich Açaí Berry Extract to protect and repair damaged skin, and is clinically proven to combat environmental aggressors, protect skin from the first signs of aging, and repair environmental damage that’s occurred over time.

IT’S A FULL ACAI REGIMEN. Prevention magazine put the leading anti-aging beauty products to the test again this year and found seven products deserving of the “Defy Your Age” seal. To determine the winners, Prevention enlisted seven leading dermatologists to test the claims of the 35 most promising products of the year on a group of 175 women, ages 40-plus, for a period of up to eight weeks. J’eune d’Age Organics Anti Aging Serum

Warm weather equals lighter weight skin care for me. But just because it feels light doesn’t mean I don’t want it to deliver results. Jeune d’age Organics Anti-Age Serum has been on my radar ever since I heard about it earlier this year. The serum is packaged in a beautiful box that is made from recycled ingredients and is crafted from certified organic ingredients (the box is made from organic recyclable materials including flower seeds, you can plant the box when you are done and have pretty flowers). The big deal here is that the serum itself is packed in single use foil packets (mono dosing), a process that is normally reserved for sampling. Because the ingredients are organic, they claim the products is fresher that way. The box comes with enough product to last 30 days and is a fantastic after sun treatment for parched skin.

I have been using the serum daily for about 5 weeks and I found that you can get two uses (morning & night) out of one packet…so for the price that makes it economical as well. I have also mixed the serum with my tinted moisturizer and it actually helped the moisturizer to absorb faster. The serum absorbs quickly, is non greasy (you don’t get that tacky feeling that most serums have) and it will elevate your skin’s moisture level with ease. Filled with great ingredients such as; Açai, DMAE, Hyaluronan, CoQ10, Natural AHAs and ALAs, Vitamins A, B, C and E. It’s really ideal for those who live in dry climates, you will feel it working its magic as it deeply moisturizes. On important thing to note: the Hyaluronan (or Hyaluronic Acid) used in the serum is animal friendly. Many products with Hyaluronic Acid or Sodium Hyaluronate found today use rooster comb in production, Jeune d’Age Organics does not.

Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum

Drugstore products are defnitely stepping their game up as of late. Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum is lightweight and has a gel-like texture (which I prefer for serums). It is a highly-concentrated blend of amino-peptides that regenerates damaged skin, renewing the outer layer to give you a younger-looking complexion. I used this for 14 days and I definitely noticed a difference (especially in the lines on my forehead).

It contains a host of great ingredients that actually work (which is great considering it’s a drugstore line)

carnosine (with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties)
vitamin E (antioxidant)
allantoin (anti-irritant)
green tea (antioxidant)

Also included is 2-3% Niacinamide (vitamin B3) which according to beauty expert Paula Begoun, “it can increase the skin’s ceramide and fatty acid content as well as have anti-inflammatory action“. Over all, it feels nice and is perfect for normal to dry skin types under a moisturizer or alone if you aren’t that dry. For $18.99, this is a fantastic buy and well worth it if you are looking for a decent drugstore line to save money.

If you haven’t heard about 3Lab “M” Cream, I am here to tell you that this one is by far the best cream I have tried this year. It is pricey, BUT it also has some serious science behind it.
