I can tell you, I have used this on a scar I have on my knee, on my cuticles, the heels of my feet, my eyebrows….you name it!  It smells great and the multple uses are a huge bonus point for me.

According to a published report on Smart Skincare.com, “Vitamin C can benefit skin in two important ways. Firstly, vitamin C is essential for the synthesis of collagen, a key structural protein of the skin. Adding vitamin C to a culture of skin cells (fibroblasts) dramatically increases the synthesis of collagen. Secondly, vitamin C is an antioxidant and can help reduce skin damage caused by free radicals. So what does that mean? Basically, Vitamin C increases collagen production and the more collagen your skin has, the fewer wrinkle you will see.  So add something vitamin C based to your skin care ritual.  Whether it’s a face cream or a serum, either of them will benefit your skin especially if you are over the age of 30. A line that I came across that makes a great serum is Cell Ceuticals. Their research states that, “Vitamin C & E: Vitamin C is critical for collagen production and is the most plentiful antioxidant in our skin to neutralize free radicals! Topical Vitamin C improves fine and course wrinkling, improves smoothness, tone, laxity and can lighten hyper pigmentation. The main ingredient in the serum is Pro-Xylane which is known to rebuild the structure of your skin by increasing the moisture level (plumping it). The other inclusion that is great are Omega 3+6 fatty acids and vitamin A (these are both excellent for the health and defense of the skin) not many brands are using these at the moment, so to have it in a drugstore brand is kind of awesome.

Now is this a magic wand?  Certainly not BUT it is an excellent and affordable serum that is a great preventative step in your skin care regimen.
