Smashbox Muse Collection 2009-Love it!

When does smashbox have the time to keep creating these fabulous colors for girls like me? Oh my gosh so beautiful and just in time for spring. The entire Muse Collection 2009 is filled with gorgeous eye shadows that are soft and creamy enough to apply with your fingers for a wash of color, blush for extremely sweet cheeks, pretty pink lip glosses, yes everyone, pink is back again, and soft and easy to use eyeliner pencils to make those smoky eyes pop even more.

Of course the staples like mascara are included in the collection, but not just your basic black, this color is new and gorgeous. Their famous and best selling Ionic Mascara but in a new black-violet shade. oooh…love it.
Their Hybrid 2 in 1 Luminizing Primer gives you instantly smooth and glowing skin to create a perfect canvas when applying your makeup. What can I say, the whole line is fabulous.

I am all over that Muse Artist Eye Palette too! If you happened to catch Good Day Live in Los Angeles they were showing the line and even did a gals makeup using the new colors. I just love spring! Don’t you?

Talk about convenient, people from all over the world submitted video’s and blogs showcasing their winning personalities and product ideas for the chance to design this beauty worthy collection and collaboration with Smashbox. What an amazing opportunity for anyone who loves beauty and so genius of Smashbox. Andria Woods was chosen from thousands of entries to apprentice at Smashbox in Los Angeles, and to design the official Beauty Guru Palette. How cool is that!
Included in this fabulous kit are all of the “it” shades from Los Angeles Fashion Week for the eyes, lips and cheeks. Also included are step-by-step instructions on how to create a look that will have you walking down fifth avenue doing the cat walk in no time at all.
The Beauty Guru Palette is, you guessed it… a ‘Limited-Edition’ and only available at Sephora so grab one while they are still in stock.

Top 10 Must Have Beauty Products For 2008

Beauty, beauty, beauty, all year long. With so many products we shared and so many products that we couldn’t live without, we thought why not do a 2008 beauty round-up and recap all of our favorite beauty goodies.
10. 2009 Beauty Forcast -Top 10 Ingredients list. Although this list is meant for the coming year, it was posted on Aging Fabulous in 2008. It is a list of ingredients that will be making their way into most beauty products next year. Some are already key elements in skin care lines right now. My favorite, the Acai Berry, is known as the “Fountain of Youth” berry for it high counts of anti-oxidants, amino’s, and omega’s. So, so, good for you!
9. The Pedi-Relax Line. Great foot creams for anyone who is on their feet as much as I am. Oh my gosh from the second I started using these creams my feet have been feeling so soft and smooth. No other cream has ever worked as well as these. Love them!
8. No one does a shimmer brick better than Bobbi Brown. I loved them from the first time she pulled her own sample out to show me, and still continue to use them whenever I work. They are so much fun to use and the Copper Diamond Shimmer Brick which is a limited-edition, rocks!!! I live for this one especially, so of course I had to stock up like a good little make-up artist would:) Big Kiss Bobbi!
7. One of my very favorite gift sets for the holidays. The Happy Thoughts PDA set from Clinique. I would have purchased just for the absolutely darling sleek, silver case. This was a big hit for a few of my BFF’s. So sorry I didn’t get a few more. Oh well will have to wait until next year.
6. NeilGeorge Everyday Cleanse and Conditioner. These products are, as my son would say “off the hook“. I have been loving my hair ever since I started using these two “must have” hair care essentials. They have a list of celebrities who swear by these products and I have to say they are on point. Simple, chic packaging, amazing smell, fantastic products!
5. Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder. I went out and bought this the same day I wrote my post about it, and all I can say is “where have you been all my life?” This is some powder. It is so fine and gives your skin a flawless finish. I just love the brush it comes with too! Smashbox is really on the cutting edge when it comes to cosmetics.
4. My list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning my absolute favorite Eyebrow Stencils from Anastasia. Why spend the extra time filling in your brows stroke by stroke, when you can achieve perfection using these stencils from Anastasia. They are for sure the best stencils and the easiest to use. Lots of kits to choose from and all very affordable.
3. Shu-Uemura Rich Black Mascara. Still my first love and the one I still have after so many years. Yes, I have others that I love too, but this Shu is just the best.
2. SPF Cream from Somme Institute. I have just run out of this fabulous cream and I am scraping the last bit of it with a brush to get the last drop. The smell alone is worth checking out. I have the entire line of products, and love them all. Their latest is a neck cream which I have just started using.
1. The last beauty product to make my Top 10 List for 2008 is Duwop’s Doubleglow7. This is one product I just can’t live without. I use it everyday and on almost every shoot. It looks amazing worn alone, or as a primer underneath foundation. This is the beauty bomb in a very good way!
So there you have it. I hope you enjoy checking each one out! I wish everyone the most amazing new year and the very best in 2009! As always thank you for keeping Aging Fabulous on your beauty radar.
Kisses,
Beth

Have you tried this newest powder from smashbox? A powder that reduces fine lines & wrinkles in 10 minutes? It’s the first anti-aging powder that has built in ingredients to care for your skin as well. Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder uses an advanced formulation of pure gold, 48 minerals, 11 amino acids, and a powerful peptide to deliver powerful anti-aging benefits to your skin. The patented hydration system continuously revitalizes the skin for a brighter, more radiant complexion.
Clinical studies show that after just 10 minutes there is a 33% decrease in the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes. After six weeks of regular use that number goes up to 67% in a decrease of fine lines and wrinkles overall.
This sounds like something I definitely need to have and right away! Each powder comes with a custom designed Kabuki Brush for a perfect application every time, plus a sample of their award-winning Photo Finish Foundation Primer. This I have tried and it is fabulous! Perfect for those of us who tend to get a bit shiny, and it makes your foundation look flawless.
Kisses from Hollywood,

Smashbox Mini Lip Gloss Set

Oh my gosh, another great gift set from Smashbox! The Smashbox Mini Lip gloss kit is so cute and comes with 3 fabulous mini-glosses to keep or give as a gift to a fellow “beauty junkie” and BFF. This cute little carry pouch and glosses are a steal at $16.
A quick beauty tip: When applying your lip gloss, get longer lasting color by filling your lips in with a lip pencil of the same shade and then adding your gloss. If you’re planning to do lots of kissing during the holidays, add one layer of lip gloss, blot with a tissue and add another layer of gloss. Your lips will be singing the “shiny-happy” praise all night long!
This little beauty “must have” is available online at smashbox, and while you’re there please check out their “Let’s Do Lunch” and see what free jumbo beauty product they are giving away this week.
