NETTIE SCRUBS ROCK AT THE GREEN MUSIC EVENT

At the “Green Music Event” last week I was introduced to the most amazing body buff and body scrub created by Nettie Davis a celebrity manicurist with a loyal list of followers. Her best friend Desiree pulled me aside and worked the magical body scrub into my hands. She used the grapefruit scented one and the smell was absolutely edible. When she was done my hand looked 10 years younger and felt like a baby’s bottom. She followed it with a body balm that I now can’t live without. I keep it in my purse and just love they way it emphasizes my younger looking hands!

February is for getting mushy

Now wouldn’t that be a romantic way to sign your Valentine!! I think that by now, G knows who the card is from and that little line is just so much better than simply signing your name. And while you are at it, it might be a very good time to pull out all of your old Valentines. There’s nothing quite at mushy as spending a little time reminiscing about how mushy to two of you have been over the years!

It’s also an easy way to decorate. Some of mine almost look vintage!

My Wish list for Valentine’s Day

Really, I feel almost guilty for writing this post. At the moment I’m sitting in California, wandering along the beaches, eating out, shopping and all kinds of other fun stuff while G is here on business. But everyone in our Style Hub here at b5media is writing something up for Valentine’s Day, so I had better come up with a few things that I would put on my wish list, (if I had one) It’s going to be hard…

I will stop at 5 although coming up with a whole lot more wouldn’t be that much of a stretch… if I was to be truthful. So, here goes…

1. Tickets to Stage West Dinner Theatre. Okay I just looked. I might want to hold off until May. On Valentine’s Day, the show scheduled is called ” California Dreaming 2 and we’ve already seen it. Went there for our anniversary in December. But starting in May, is a 3 month run of The Full Monty. Now that would be a hoot to see!

2. Chocolate of course… and the darker the better.

3. G has mentioned that he might have to go to Italy on business in a few months. I can wait if he wants to add that as a Valentine’s gift.

4. A surprise… I don’t care what it is. Just a surprise. Even a bunch of flowers when I’m not expecting it will turn me to mush!

Valentine Cupcakes

Any grandchildren out there?? That is the first thing that I thought of when I spotted these cupcake molds. I don’t often venture into the kitchen, but I think that I could pull off these cupcakes… especially if I use a cake mix and then the fun would start when it comes to decorating them!

I can still remember a Valentine’s Day cake my mom made years ago. It was covered in tons of chocolate frosting and then dotted with about a zillion Smarties! Obviously, made a huge impression on me lol…
