On my, what seems like a never-ending quest – to reveal brighter, more even luminous skin – I am definitely excited to hear about these two new brighteners. From the Kiehl’s Bright™ collection comes two new formulas – Brightening Botanical Hydrating Mask and Brightening Botanical Spot Treatment.

The mask is a unique preparation that enhances skin tone and diminishes the look of skin discolorations by reducing the production of melanin on the skin. Boy, do I need these both – especially the spot treatment. If I were just as rigorous with spot treatments as I am with the rest of my facial routines, I might see some progress. I am really on the verge of many an appointment with a dermatologist for some of my problem “patches” anyway. This melasma around my lips and above my lip, not to mention the one that I had on my forehead for years now, is driving me insane. I think I will give the Brightening Botanical Spot Treatment a good ole college try though first – and use it faithfully – right? My fingers are crossed!
