Aging Fabulous

Using a 3x Magnifying Mirror For Your Makeup

I was talking a few days ago about some of the reasons why you might want to invest in a 3x magnifying mirror and this morning came up with a short list that might interest you. To be quite honest, I never really thought about just how much I rely on the mirror. I pretty much take it for granted, but I used it just this morning to help with the day’s makeup application without even thinking about it. Here’s what I found…

-Applying eyeliner can create a real mess, but using the mirror allows you to work the liner right into the lash line, resulting in no messy line that everyone else can see.

-While working on your eye makeup, you will also notice if there are any stray hairs that need removing from your brows. When they are magnified, you tend to spot every one of them.

-It is also the best way to apply mascara. You can actually see the lashes you missed.

I love it when I’m on a layover and the hotel has a magnifying mirror. It just makes things so much easier when traveling. I have a rather small travel magnifying mirror, but it doesn’t really do the trick.

Unfortunately, the aging process is taking its toll on my vision, so without magnification, my makeup could rival Dracula’s.

I think that they should add them to every bathroom. You find hair dryers, so magnifying mirrors should be next on the list. They are too bulky to pack… done that a few times only to have the suction cups let loose in the middle of the night. Not a nice way to wake up in a strange hotel. Scared the daylights out of myself!
