Where Is All This Hair Coming From?

Seriously – pre-menopause sucks. I am growing strange little hairs in places that I never have before.
For instance, I have a very thick, wiry hair growing out on my collarbone. Strange. I am afraid to pluck it or wax it, so I am just keeping it short by trimming it a few times a week. Then there are the strangely long hairs growing in my eyebrows almost overnight. And plucking these babies hurt. They really hurt. And the long ones are thicker and darker than the normal eyebrow hairs. And the gray hair – these are popping up everywhere – you know what I mean?
What can I do about it? Nothing. Yup – nothing. It is part of growing old and entering into pre-menopause the good doc tells me.
I will say it again. It sucks. I am so not looking forward to full blown menopause.

I just discovered these great gel (no-heat) waxing strips, and I will share all the info about them next week. They are great for the bikini area!
Count me in too. I am growing some nice white streaks at my temples, and on my chin. Call me Cruella.

Believe me, I may only be a few months away from being 33, but I can so relate to what you said. I suddenly have these deep wrinkles under my eyes, and I’m getting “age spots” all over the place. I have the long stupid eye brow hairs and I do pluck them often.
As for the gray hair–well its called hair dye and I religiously dye my hair every 6-8 weeks. Somehow though, those greys seem to be popping up again prior to 6 weeks lately.
Getting old sucks.
Could it be the four kiddos (yes, being pregnant counts!) that are giving you those grays??? LOL
I agree – when it creeps up on you, it creeps up on you. And it totally sucks!!!
Hi …I’m new here! just come across this site surfing tonite…well as I’m writing this..I’m right in the middle of a nice hot flash…they don’t last long but when they come..it hits me like a mac truck..this menopause stuff does suck…the worst was not sleeping..I finally went to doc and got some sleeping pills..its helped me alot..I was on premarin for about 3 months but with all this talk about hormone replacement..being bad I went off of them..oh ya..I am getting little white hairs above my lips…I pluck them out..they sure grow back fast..I wish the hair on my head grew that fast…hehehe anyway its all part of life and were all going to go threw it! take care!
