- Good quality shoes last so much better than cheap ones – you’ll save money in the long run!
- They’re more supportive and are designed with your feet in mind, not just to be cheap to produce.
- You’ll support craftsmen who make good shoes, not massive factories with bad working conditions.
- Because every woman should have a pair of shoes (or boots, or sandals…) that makes her feel like a million bucks.
- You’re buying art – not knockoffs! After all, there’s no substitute for good design.
- Because casually mentioning “oh, these are just my Blahniks”, when someone compliments you is better than a shot of espresso
- Leather shoes breathe better than synthetic ones. Your feet will be healthier!
- Shoe designers need to pay off their student loans – do you know how expensive a good fashion degree is these days?
- They’re an investment in your career – think about it, you’ll be so much more confident next time you go in for an interview or a tough meeting with fabulous shoes on your feet!
- Because you’re worth it
So there you go, next time someone asks why you’re spending a month’s rent on a fabulous pair of Christian Louboutin’s you can answer confidently!

A big HELLO!
Interesting top 10. Not sure I agree with all of it – afterall, you could end up spending $500.00 on a pair of shoes and accidently scuff or break them badly versus a $50.00 pair that looks essential the same. But very cute!
Great post! I have to do quite a bit of walking inside and outside in my job, and it’s really hard to fine comfy AND cute shoes, so I usually end up buying the more expensive shoes for work. That leaves a smaller “cute shoe” budget, but I’m changing my thinking! I’m starting to build up a better shoe wardrobe because it’s an investment!
Yes…. but unfortunately we can’t all afford Blahnicks
I got my most comfortable pair of shoes from Payless and the runners-up were from Kmart. Both have received lots of compliments. Maybe I’m just lucky.
