5 Hair Care Tips for the Holidays
This is the most hectic time of the year for every single part of you and your hair isn’t getting a holiday either. If you are stressed about the season, it’s going to show in your hair… sad but true. So, here’s five things you can do starting today to make sure your hair looks as amazing as you want it to.
1. Limit the number of late nights. While you are sleeping is the time when your body is repairing itself. Take advantage!
2. Drink lots of water. We have all read that the body needs several glasses of water a day. Part of that is directed to your hair. Don’t ask me how, I just read it somewhere. That’s enough of a reason for me to bring a glass of the stuff to my desk. It sure can’t hurt and with everything we do to our hair these days, it just might help!
3. I know that it is tempting to grab a towel when you get out of the shower and rub all of the dripping water out of your hair, but this isn’t going to help your hair either. All of those little fibres can get caught on the hair shaft and if you have split ends to begin with, well lets just say that they go further than they did before you shampooed.
4. Condition, condition, condition.
5. Use products that promise to protect your hair from your hair tools. I use Alberto Miracle Mist and it certainly must be doing what it is formulated for. I use my flat iron way to much (I admit it) and my hair isn’t protesting… not at all, which is amazing considering how hot it gets. And yes, I have burned myself more than a few times.
And lastly… slow down. We are always in such a hurry to get everything done… it wouldn’t hurt to relax a little every day. If even for just five minutes!
Happy Holidays

I have a hair tip for the party season.
Keratin hair straightener!
I used it for the first time about three weeks ago and I haven’t used my straighteners since, which cuts about an hour off my prep time for an evening out (and for getting ready for work – for that matter)
I’ve had the treatment before, but it cost me a fortune, so I tried doing it myself at home.
Couldn’t have been easier, just like a conditioner.
There are heaps of sites selling it direct, I got mine from a place called http://www.escovaprogress.com
but I know there are others.
I’m hooked and it makes the party season a breeze, especially if you’re going straight out after work.
