adventures in DIY jewelry making

I love creating my own jewelry - in fact, I enjoy it so much that I teach classes on jewelry making!

Making your own jewelry can be a great way to get the exact piece of jewelry that you want - whether you’re trying to match a particular outfit or want something 100% unique…

Or it could be you find something, like this flying bird medallion, that you just can’t put down :-)

blue bird chain necklace

I decided that plain & simple was the best way to go with this necklace, so I used a piece of chain that had been hanging out in my studio - and just used a simple ring to attach everything together.  I love it - and I pretty much am guaranteed to get compliments whenever I wear it :-)

If you’re interested in making your own jewelry, b5media has a DIY jewelry blog called “Jewelry & Beading“.
