All That Glitters: More Runway Evening Wear

In addition to silky metallics, the Fall runways were replete with evening gowns in ethereal glittering fabrics. These gowns harkened both to a delicate feminine past and towards futuristic fabrics seemingly inspired by the cosmos.
I’m crazy for this beglittered princess gown by Jason Wu. The shimmering fabric drapes beautifully in this classic silhouette. I especially like the way it was styled on the runway, with a combination of ultra edgy jewelry and tradtionally lovely shoes.
This pale nude fabric on this drapey gown by Alberta Ferretti looks almost like skin, only sparklier. The long, column silhouette combines fantastically with the long puff sleeves.
This is one of my favorite frocks in this ilk, by Armani. The shape of the gown is reminiscent of flappers, but the fabric falls in a classic, almost roman way. The teensy spaghetti straps and deep v of the neckline really bring attention to the decollete, and I really can’t get over the delicate sheen of the fabric.
