Ashley Shute

Ashley Shute

Ashley spends eight hours a day working as a blue jean and t-shirt wearing community organizer in San Antonio. The other 16 hours are dedicated to dreaming about and shopping for the latest luxury fashions. Her style icon is Jacqueline Kennedy; classic, clean, and always professional. You will never find a fake bag in her closet and she wants a collection of Manolo Blahnik shoes before she turns 30.

Golden Cowboy Boots

Yes, I do live in Texas. This means I listen to Country music, I own a cowboy hat and I wear cowboy boots. But, I don’t quite know if my cowboy boots are as fabulous or a stunning as these Golden Goose Star Zip Very Distressed Ankle Boots that you can get from ShopBop. Shopbop The vintage look makes them look like they’ve been around the rodeo once or twice (maybe even three times!) and the toes look super broken in so they will probably be very comfortable once you get them out of the box. They are $1,165 but, if you’re totally going all out on the Western look then this may be the right look for you. You can pick them up in the dark black as pictured or in a more brownish inspired look. But, whatever color you get you must wear a cowboy... [Read more]

Of course you can pick up a nice warm and comfortable cardigan from your local H&M or Old Navy. And some of those places even have great sales coming up (why hello there 50% off outerwear at Old Navy this weekend!) But, if you pick up one of these cardigans, will you be guaranteed a luxurious and long lasting cardigan? I don’t know if you will! theoutnet.com That’s why I would recommend you should pick up one of these Halston Long Chunky Knit cardigans that you can pick up from theoutnet.com. The cardigan is dark gray which makes it a great neutral piece for a lazy Sunday or even for a casual Friday look at the office. It has a self tied waist with two pockets in the front. It is 80% cashmere and 20% chinchilla.  It’s a definite investment... [Read more]

Cinderella and all you closet princesses should have been in Beijing yesterday because Mao Geping really showed us some great avant garde ball gowns and make-up that any diva would put on their wish list. We all know that China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and they are a tremendously loyal group. I’m sure I would be very loyal to such a talented make-up artist and detailed and ornate clothing designer such as Mao Geping. Zuma Press Look at the feathers, tiers, and color differentiations! I am so in love!   Would that model be able to fit in to an elevator with all those feathers on her head? Zuma Press I love the pretty pink colors on this dress. The ruching in the middle is fabulous and the head piece really makes... [Read more]

We’re getting really close to the holiday season which means holiday parties! I’m getting really excited about busting out a new holiday cocktail dress for the invites that I have piling up. Erin Fetherston Marching Dress

Why hello there 1987, I’ve missed you. I will bet all of you that I can dig up a picture or two that showcases family members of mine wearing dresses much like this Erin Fetherston Marching Dress. I still haven’t quite decided whether this dress, though, showcases the good qualities of the 1980s or the bad qualities of the 1980s. What do you all think? Shopbop The dress is professional but is a bit chic with a dash of uniqueness. I do like how the buttons down the middle do not line up, but there might be a bit too many buttons for its own good. The ruched shoulders and cuffed sleeves are interesting as well. Personally, however, I think the strong shoulder is throwing me off. If the strong shoulders are not throwing you off, though, you... [Read more]
